Guillermo A. Portillo III

Guillermo brings a distinct, imaginative perspective to his multifaceted art. His black and white sketches, mixed media canvas, and recycled art sculptures are an outlet for his ADHD mind. It is his hope to share cultural diversity, uniqueness, and issues in the Southwest, while highlighting Las Cruces in each piece of art.

Guillermo’s art journey started at the San Antonio Art Institute, during his elementary years. His love for art was reignited during his pursuit of a Bachelors of Creative Media in Digital Film Making at New Mexico State University. Guillermo’s artistic expression is shaped from growing up in two worlds: the south western desert of Las Cruces, New Mexico - his birthplace, and the city streets of San Antonio, TX - were he spent his elementary and adolescent years. Guillermo continues to express himself on screen, stage, and in galleries; all in loving support from his wife and children.
