Jim “Jimmy” Sanchez, a native of Pueblo, Colorado is a mostly self-educated artist who relies highly on his natural intuition and observations to produce works that portray his influences. Growing up in a predominantly Chicano, Mexican-American neighborhood, with close relations to his Mexican maternal grandparents and Spanish paternal grandparents, Jimmy has never been short of inspiration for his art.

After a serious heath episode in 2021, Jimmy was forced to reevaluate life and re-learn many occupational skills. During his recovery he began to focus on his art as part of his therapy. He credits art for bringing patience and reflection back into his life.

Currently working in pen, pencil and pastels, Jimmy looks forward to expanding his subject matter and mediums as his art career expands.
