Artist Eric Sarracino transplanted to Pueblo, Colorado from Gallup, New Mexico in 2017. Since then, he’s left his artistic mark on the community impacting various Pueblo landmarks with his dynamic and colorful murals. Eric’s art can be described in many ways from abstract to realistic. He’s made a name for himself as an award-winning studio artist, a sign painter, caricaturist, and of course a muralist all in a variety of mediums such as oil, acrylic, watercolor and enamels.
With his most recent project at Mitchell Park on Pueblo’s Eastside, Eric recruited the help of Pueblo’s youth and their parents to assist him on the two-block long work of art that depicts the rich history of the often misrepresented Eastside community. The mural’s subjects not only portray landmarks, buildings, community activists and leaders, but also folk tales that mirror the storyline often associated with this part of town.
Sarracino’s public art can be taken in throughout town at Bingo Burger restaurant on City Center Drive, State Beauty Supply on 4th Street, the Pueblo Art Alliance on Grand, and of course The Historic Eastside Mural at Mitchell Park.
